Every homestead planner on this site gives you blank pages to write on. This one does the arithmetic.

You type in two dates — your average last spring frost and your average first autumn frost — and the file works out every start-indoors date, every harden-off date, every plant-out date, every harvest window and every last-safe-sowing date for the whole year. Move a frost date by a week and all of them move with it. A printable cannot do that, because the sums are the product.

Then it does the same for the rest of the place:

Six short questions and the file rebuilds itself around your answers. Pick your USDA zone and the average frost dates drop in. Say how many beds you have and it lays them out. Tick your crops from a library of 52 — each with its plant family, spacing, days to maturity, hardiness and a retail price — and it generates a full year of dated sowings. Say what animals you keep and it builds the registers, the feed lines and 43 homestead jobs on the right months.

Tick nothing for goats and the livestock screens simply stay empty. It is your file.

This is a record book, not an authority. Frost dates, days to maturity, gestation lengths, lay rates, feed conversion figures and shelf lives are published averages, and they are here for arithmetic and context. Your ground, your weather and your animals are the real source.

For anything preserved, follow a tested recipe from your extension or national food-preservation service — low-acid food needs a pressure canner, and this file records what you made rather than validating a method. For anything to do with animal health, your vet is right and any book is out of date. Before selling eggs, meat, milk or preserved food, check your local rules.
